eHealthsummit – The biggest digital health event takes place 1st and 2nd of June – Open Registration

20 May 2021

The Shared Services of the Ministry of Health (SPMS, EPE), along with the Ministry of Health and the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union (PPUE), is organizing the eHealthsummit.pt event, which will take place on the 1st and 2nd of June, 2021.

On behalf of TC 251, chair Robert Stegwee will contribute to this event.

Considered the main initiative of PPUE in the digital health field, eHealthsummit.pt aims to discuss the digital transition in health. For two days, the debate will focus on the various challenges of telehealth, valuing technological, scientific knowledge and different cross-border experiences.

To enhance the debate and find the best digital solutions in healthcare provision, it will bring together a range of representatives from national and European institutions and national and international experts from the health and technology fields.

In the three previous editions, this initiative had the collaboration of several ministries, going beyond the borders of Health and privileging the dissemination of digital public services. In 2021, eHealthsummit.pt will become even more relevant, not only for health professionals, but for all citizens interested in improving digital health literacy.

Adopting a dynamic model, this initiative integrates speeches and conferences on different themes and, also, an exhibition area with stands from public institutions and startups. In the current pandemic context, the event will be held in a hybrid format, consisting on digital and face-to-face sessions.

Since distance participation is considered preferential, it will allow attendance to all speeches and conferences, through live streaming on the event’s website. In face-to-face participation, all security measures will be ensured.

Registration is open and must be filled at ehealthsummit.pt.
